Meet The Blogger
A former DIY bride, event enthusiast and new blogger with Penny Tree Events.
My first glimpse into the world of weddings was as a college student working at a local events center. A few years later, I somewhat accidentally, started a cupcake business and fell in love with dreaming with brides and creating a centerpiece of sugar and color for each wedding. Reality hit after a surprise proposal and proposed short engagement on my part. I got busy dreaming and creating for my own wedding. After weeks of driving the countryside and visiting reception venues we settled on a backyard wedding and rustic outdoor venue in the country. Then the real work began.
Thanks to a small and simple ceremony in my parents’ backyard we were able to focus most of our efforts into creating the reception into my dream come true. From a fabric bunting and 600 patio lights, to burlap, mason jars and tree stump slabs it was exactly what I had hoped for. We happily celebrated with all of our friends and left in a tunnel of sparklers and I couldn’t have been happier with the day.
And that was only the beginning.
As years passed I continued to enjoy planning events, helped with my friends’ weddings, was still baking cupcakes and creating all of my Pinterest dreams.
Now that I’ve hung up my apron, I’m excited to share my passions here, on the Penny Tree blog, and will continue to create and dream. I also can’t wait to give you a sneak peak of the events and possibilities that can become a reality at the gorgeous Penny Tree Event Center.
